Scott County Farm Bureau- Programs and Committees 
The Scott County Farm Bureau has four Standing Committees.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
1. Acts in the absence of the Board as allowed within the Bylaws, and
2. Reviews and makes recommendations regarding executive staff in concert with the Illinois Agricultural Association and the Pike County Farm Bureau.
Members of the Committee are Mark Vortman, Jeff Schone, Dean Hubbert, and Paul Stice.
FINANCE COMMITTEE:
1. Serves as the Audit Committee to review the annual audit and make recommendations regarding same,
2. Reviews and makes investment recommendations to the Board of Directors, and
3. Reviews and makes general financial policy recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Members of the Committee are Paul Stice, Chairman; Sid Messamore, and Mike Swisher.
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE:
1. Review and make recommendations regarding county positions on local, state, and national legislation and regulations,
2. Work with local, state, and national elected officials to build close working relationships and share positions on agricultural and rural issues, and
3. Reviews and makes general financial policy recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Members of the Committee are Charles Powell, Chairman, Mike Swisher, Sid Messamore, and Jeff Schone.
MEMBER SERVICES COMMITTEE:
1. Review and make recommendations regarding member programs, projects, and services,
2. Work with affiliate company employees and others to help achieve the organization’s mission, and
3. Review and make recommendations regarding public relations and member communications.
Members of the Committee are Jeff Hurrelbrink, Chairman, Nolan Bangert, Jim Freeman, Dean Hubbert, and Paul Stice.
Ad-hoc Committees include Building and Scholarship.
